Toowoomba Septic Help ("we", "us") runs this website as a referral and enquiry service. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Details you give us in the enquiry form or on a call: your name, phone number, email address (optional), suburb or town, and a description of the job.
- Basic technical information that our hosting and form providers collect automatically, such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
Why we collect it
We use your details to pass your enquiry to an independent local septic or wastewater provider so they can contact you about the job, and to follow up on your enquiry if needed. Calls to our number may be forwarded to a provider.
Who we share it with
When you tick the consent box or call us, you agree that we may share your enquiry details with one or more independent providers who service your area. Those providers are separate businesses and handle your information under their own privacy policies. We also use service providers to host this site and receive form submissions. We don't sell your information for marketing lists.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Some of our service providers may store data outside Australia.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
